I need a recipe found on a bag of domino of sugar for snicker-doodles using store bought sugar cookie dough?
I noticed a recipe recently on the side of the 5lb bag of sugar ...Sandra Lee's Semi-homemade 123 snickerdoodles..the recipe required 1 package of refridgerated sugar cookie dough, cream cheese, confectioner's sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon and sugar...
cookies...they're from Sandra Lee's Semi-Homemade Desserts
Recipe:
1 package refrigerated sugar cookie dough, room temperature
2 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut cookie dough into 8 pieces. In bowl of electric mixer, combine cookie dough pieces and cream cheese. Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla extract until dough is smooth.
2. Scoop dough by the tablespoon and roll into about 36 balls.
3. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon. Roll balls in a cinnamon-sugar mixture and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool on cooling rack.
The dough can get pretty sticky so it's better to have the small bowl of sugar and cinnamon ready to go asap.

She suggested using the Nestle® 'break and bake' sugar cookies and rolling them in cinnamon and sugar then baking per the package directions. They are great and take no time at all to bake, and my husband loves them."
