I have been seeing disposable napkin rings in wedding functions, large family gatherings and other large scale functions. But recently, I went over to my cousins' for a stay where I saw beautiful silver and beaded napkin rings, neatly binding the napkins, placed on their dining table all the time. They were the smallest accessory on the dining table, but brought unmatched elegance to it.
About Napkin Rings: By dictionary definition, napkin rings are rings or bands of metal, wood, plastic, etc., through which a folded napkin is inserted, often as part of a place setting. The basic purpose of a napkin ring is to bind a clean napkin, generally cloth, and keep it in place at each dinner place setting. These rings can be made from anything – paper, plastic, metal, wood, glass, ceramics, anything. Though the most popular ones, till date, are silver napkin rings. Napkin rings are often matched with the other table accessories. For example, they may be embellished to coordinate with place mats, napkins, and tablecloth.
