Set Blue

How can I set the dye in blue jeans?
I bought Ralph Lauren jeans a few weeks ago. They have been washed at least three times. However the dye bleeds onto the palms of my hands when I am wearing them. My hands actually look like I have a circulatory problem. They are that blue. This is the first time I have ever had a problem like this. I have another pair that still has tags on them which I think I'm going to return. Any ideas out there?
Dissolve about a cup of table salt in about a quart of warm water, then add it to your washing machine while it's filling. Once it starts agitating and mixes in good add the blue jeans and let them run through the cycle. This should set the dye in about as good as you can get it at home. You'd think Ralph Lauren quality control people would be checking their garments better than that, especially considering the prices they charge.
